Atona Flap Backpack

This is the kind of thing you buy with someone in mind and then realize you would love it yourself. This will be a gift for my niece heading to college next Fall and it'll work great for slugging her materials back and forth to classes across campus and in style. There are so many pockets - two pockets (magnetic closure) in the front on the outside, a side pocket (zipper) on each side with space for a water bottle above each and metal grommets if you want to loop a carabiner through either side. The top of the bag is covered with a flap held by magnetic buttons and under that is a zipper to get to the inside's contents which include more pockets: two smaller open and one for a small laptop secured with a velcro flap. The leather edging and zipper pulls look sharp and will aid in extending the life of the bag, as the red stitching on top of the khaki canvas is really striking. Great backpack for college, for adults working in the city or a carryon bag. Will definitely check out other products by this company.

Measuring 12" across and 15" from top to bottom, this backpack will satisfy some travel needs. My spouse likes the size because it works even with the most restrictive airlines for a personal item and holds her laptop in a padded pouch. I'm less impressed, but I find the canvas and stitching truly amazing. It looks and feels like it was made by Levi Strauss himself in the days of the gold rush. A zipper secures the main compartment, but it offers only minimal water resistance when closed, as one photo shows. You can improve this by closing the two metal clasps on the side, restricting this opening, but keep your umbrella handy as rain can spoil your laptop's day. It does have a second zippered compartment behind the main compartment which is very secure and most likely water-resistant. That pocket, shown in the other photo, can hold an iPad with a case but not a 14" laptop. In my opinion, this is its best feature. Inside it has three pockets that provide handy storage, two large enough to hold a phone, and a clasp from which you can hang an Air-tag or similar tracker. On the sides, it has zippered pockets and a small water bottle holder, but you can't use both. The side pocket can't store anything if you place a water bottle on the inside. The front flap is secured by magnetic clasps which I found a bit hard to use; it takes tweaking to get them to grasp properly. It also has two outside pockets just behind the clasps for quick access. Overall, it's a backpack for Goldilocks; for me, it's too small, but for my spouse, it's just right.

This is a backpack that has a quality construction with top-notch hardware, canvas and leather materials. Among the many details is a very nice lining on both the main compartment and the two smaller compartments on the exterior. The detailing is at a designer bag level. It's deceptively simple look would work great for a variety of uses when you want just a really nice looking pack to take a long for the day.

This back pack is made of a high quality canvas material. It's not gigantic, but it's a good size to carry essentials. Has nice roomy compartments. It's definitely well made and very durable. Recommend!

This backpack is in a perfect shade of grey. The size is just right with leather trim and the canvas fabric can be wiped down with a damp cloth. Numerous pockets on both outside and inside with a center divider that is padded for a laptop. You have two pen/pencil holder pockets on the inside. This backpack will last a lifetime and will only get better as it ages and the leather breaks down a little. You will not want for another backpack after you use this one.
